Steve, Ashbrooke’s founder, is a Chartered Accountant and corporate finance professional with over 25 years of experience advising international companies on strategic, operational, restructuring and transactional issues.
Previously, he established Ernst & Young’s Financial Institutions M&A team in London and was co-founder and CFO of Quest Group – an outsourced service provider managing in excess of US$1 billion of international reinsurance claims in run-off.
He has worked in the (re)insurance run-off market since 1999 landing significant market transactions as well as working for 18 months at Randall & Quilter Investment Holdings Limited Plc.

Andrew Morpeth is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years’ experience in a range of regulated and unregulated businesses. Andrew worked in Ernst & Young’s Corporate Finance and Restructuring Departments for 14 years where he completed a wide range of private and public transactions with an aggregate deal value in excess of £25bn.
Subsequent to this, Andrew has been principal and CFO in a number of private groups. Andrew’s overall experience includes all forms of M&A and restructuring transactions, post acquisition integrations, treasury and working capital management and optimising management reporting methodologies within tightly regulated environments.
